Portland, OR – The metal wall decorations in Portland have been getting a lot of attention lately.
A recent video of a man using a metal wall as a lantern to light his way through the night is just one of many examples of this new trend.
According to a post on the Portland Police Department’s Facebook page, there have been at least three reports of people using metal wall decals as a decorative object to illuminate the night sky.
One man was caught on video lighting his way to the moon on a night he claimed was the “biggest” of his life.
He posted a picture of the moon he claimed to have seen and a video of him lighting it on his phone, which was later shared on Reddit.
The moon has been seen as a symbol of freedom, prosperity, and justice, and a number of the city’s bands and artists have embraced the symbolism of the lunar disc in recent years.
This particular post was shared by local band The Hauntings of The Sun and the Moon, who recently performed on a new record.
The Haunters of The Moon recently performed at The Gorge Amphitheatre in Portland on January 27, 2018.
This post was updated on February 20, 2018 to include additional details about the band’s upcoming concert at the Gorge Amphique.
